About Helensville Dental Centre

Helensville Dental Centre has been established since 1983. For a relaxing, stress-free, arm-chair experience, you can gaze through magnificent trees to the Kaipara River, and the tranquillity of the boats moored at the Kaipara Cruising Club.
The Helensville Dental Centre offers the latest techniques using the latest materials and equipment. We offer a wide range of general and cosmetic dentistry including, Crowns, Bridges, and Bleaching, Fillings and Extractions, Root Canal Therapy, Winz quotes are welcome and Emergency Treatments including ACC.
Dr Jasper Tang and Dr Simon Bell are the dentists, and Sheryl, Tina and Angela will make sure you are comfortable and well looked after. They all help to provide a good, friendly environment and encourage people not to be shy about visiting even if they have not been to a dentist for a decade or more.

Siew Ling Tang (Jasper) Jasper was born in Sabah, East Malaysia, and immigrated to NZ in 1993. She graduated as a dentist from the University of Otago in 1999. She worked in the far North, Rotorua and Hamilton before joining the Helensville Dental Centre in 2007.
Jasper keeps up to date with new technologies and strongly advocates continuous education in order to offer her patients the best possible treatment. Jasper’s patients appreciate her gentle and pain free approach as well as her easygoing personality.

Simon Bell graduated as a dentist from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, in the UK, in 1996.  He worked in the Northeast of England before moving to New Zealand in 1996.  His first job was in Helensville, followed by time in Thames and the Hibiscus Coast.  In 2001 he moved back to the region near Waimauku, and started work in Huapai. Since 2004 he has been working back at Helensville Dental Care, where he first started in NZ.
Being notable for his gentle manner with patients, Simon is a kind and patient dentist who will listen to patient’s concerns and is willing to go the extra mile. Enjoying all aspects of dentistry, he heavily aims for all his patients to be dentally healthy. Understanding that dentistry can be intimidating, he tries his best to make dental appointments as comfortable and as pleasant as possible for all his patients.

I would like to take the opportunity to praise Helensville Dental Centre. I visited today, as a new patient with Simon Bell with dreaded toothache. From booking the appointment late yesterday through to leaving my appointment today, it was a great experience (which is odd after leaving the dentist). Friendly staff, knowledgeable, great value for money, transparency (discussed treatment options openly with all costs involved including alternatives depending on insurance cover) and all done with a smile. I would highly recommend. I will be back for all my dental care needs 😀
